                                                   Terminology:
Adjustment:
Maneuver designed to move or alter the position of a specific vertebral segment.

Compensation:
When one region of the body is injured and another has to compensate in its place. Without proper treatment, the injured region will heal incorrectly and the compensating region will continue to bear this added stressor.

Decompression:
Distractive forces are utilized, causing a suction effect pulling fluid and nutrients into the intervertebral disc.

Herniation:
When fluid with in the disc is squished out.

Intervertebral disc:
A fibrous liquid filled structure that provides shock absorption between the vertebral segments

Manipulation:
Maneuver designed to mobilize a region of the spinal column

Sciatica:
Can be caused by disc herniation, muscle spasm and or nutritional deficiencies. We will find the cause and avoid unnecessary procedures.

Sciatic Nerve:

Subluxation:
A subluxation is a complex of functional and/or structural and/or pathological articular changes that compromise neural integrity and may influence organ system function and general health. Basically the vertebra are out of alignment putting  stress on the muscles ligaments and nerves, causing localized pain and effecting over all health.

Vertebrae:
